Florence shoppers will love that the Volkswagen Taos SEL trim level comes standard with 4Motion all-wheel drive, a seven-speed automatic transmission, leather seats, and a sun/moonroof.
Interior and Exterior
The base Volkswagen Taos S features CloudTex, cloth seating surfaces, a leatherette-wrapped, heated multifunction steering wheel, and a leather-wrapped gear shift knob. The front bucket seats in the Volkswagen Taos S trim are six-way manually adjustable. The interior also features a 60/40 split-folding rear seat with a center armrest. The Volkswagen Taos SE trim adds an eight-way power adjustable driver seat with lumbar and heated front seats.
The new Volkswagen Taos exterior has automatic LED headlights, a coming and leaving home feature, LED daytime running lights, and LED taillights. Black roof rails, foldable power side mirrors, and rain-sensing, variable intermittent front wipers are also standard. The Taos SE has heated washer nozzles and features silver roof rails. The Volkswagen Taos S and Volkswagen Taos SE provide 6.4 inches of ground clearance, and the Volkswagen Taos SEL provides 6.6 inches.
Performance
The Volkswagen Taos features a 1.5-liter turbo inline-four engine with 158 horsepower and 184 pound-feet of torque. The Volkswagen Taos S and Volkswagen Taos SE trims come standard with an eight-speed transmission. The Volkswagen Taos S features electric power steering and an engine start-stop system. The 4Motion all-wheel drive on the Volkswagen Taos SEL features active control and driving mode selection. The new Volkswagen Taos features strut suspension. The Volkswagen Taos S and Volkswagen Taos SE trim have torsion beams in the rear, and the Volkswagen Taos SEL is fitted with a multi-link suspension.
